The visit of the fortress will also include Porta Marzia, one of the ancient access city gates. From here you will reach and walk along Corso Vannucci, the main street of the city center, at the end of which is located Piazza IV Novembre, where to admire real architectural jewels like the superb Palazzo dei Priori (1293-1443) - the main civic building - a nice and imposing Palace with its pink gothic style windows and ornate portal where to appreciate the beautiful Sala dei Notari. In the same square you find as well San Lorenzo Cathedral and the elegant Fontana Maggiore (1275).
