Calling all food lovers! One of our most beloved culinary experiences is now available in Palermo — a must for curious palates and hands-on food enthusiasts. Join a small-group cooking class led by a local chef and discover the bold, authentic flavors of Sicilian cuisine.
Your experience begins with a guided stroll through Mercato del Capo, one of Palermo’s most vibrant and historic markets. Wander between colorful stalls overflowing with seasonal produce, aromatic herbs, and local delicacies. As you explore, your chef will teach you how to select the best ingredients — the same ones you’ll be using in your kitchen adventure. Back in the kitchen, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and prepare a full three-course Sicilian meal. You'll start with the preparation of arancine, golden and crispy rice balls traditionally filled with ragù and peas. Then you'll move on to making fresh pasta from scratch, to be transformed into a delicious Pasta alla Norma, seasoned with sautéed eggplant, tomato sauce, and a sprinkle of salted ricotta. Finally, you’ll dive into the art of crafting cannoli, the iconic Sicilian dessert with its crunchy shell and sweet ricotta filling. Throughout the class, your chef will share cultural insights, hands-on techniques, and family traditions that bring each dish to life. Then, take a seat and enjoy the meal you’ve created — served with a glass of local Sicilian wine, of course. To round off your culinary journey, you’ll receive a digital recipe booklet, so you can recreate a taste of Sicily in your own kitchen.
