Depart Rome at 07.00am by luxury minivan with your English speaking driver. It will take a little over 2 hours to reach your first stop which is the charming town of Siena. Here you will enjoy a guided walking tour of this charming medieval town that will let you discover also Piazza del Campo, the main central square where the famous Palio horse race takes place every year, as well as exploring quieter backstreets and learning everything about the Contrade, the 17 medieval city districts that compete against each other in the Palio. During the visit in Siena you will also have the opportunity to visit the Cathedral.
After the visit you will travel to the nearby San Gimignano, before visiting the town you will make a stop in a local winery, Tenuta Torciano for a typical Tuscan lunch and wine tasting. After lunch continue with a visit of the picturesque San Gimignano, famed for its medieval skyscrapers, high walls and narrow streets that typify most people’s image of a Tuscan hill town. San Gimignano is unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses, which, with its hilltop setting and encircling walls, form an unforgettable skyline. Return to Rome in the evening.
