Feel like a local, cook like a real Italian, and taste the true soul of Florence. This beloved hands-on experience isn’t just a cooking class—it’s a delicious deep dive into Tuscan daily life, flavors, and traditions.

Firenze, Toscana, Italy

Your journey begins at Florence’s lively Central Market, where locals do their daily shopping. Accompanied by our Chef, you’ll explore colorful stalls filled with seasonal produce, fragrant herbs, cured meats, cheeses, and other local delights. Along the way, you’ll enjoy tastings of authentic regional specialties, learning how to choose the very ingredients that will star in your cooking session. Then it’s time to roll up your sleeves at the Towns of Italy Cooking School, where you’ll prepare two of Italy’s most iconic dishes like a true local. With step-by-step guidance from your Chef, you’ll craft your own Nonna’s Lasagna, making fresh pasta from scratch, layering it with slow-cooked Bolognese ragù and creamy béchamel, and assembling it all in your personal cocotte. Next, you’ll move on to dessert and create a classic Tiramisu, learning the techniques and tips to perfect its rich, layered flavor. After cooking, you’ll sit down with your fellow classmates to enjoy a full meal of your handmade dishes, served with a curated selection of Tuscan wines plus a typical dessert wine to finish on a sweet note. During lunch, your Chef will also introduce you to the fundamentals of Tuscan wine, explaining what makes it so distinctive and widely appreciated. Throughout the experience, you’ll learn practical kitchen skills and pro tips to boost your cooking confidence. At the end of the class, you’ll receive a digital recipe booklet so you can bring a piece of Tuscany home and recreate the magic in your own kitchen.
